The Agency

VEGA Travel Agency was founded in 1988, with the license nº 555/88 and with a share capital of € 100.000.

Vega is a founding member of Eloct Travel Agency together with 43 other Portuguese travel agencies. Operating under the brand of Go4travel, it’s scale permits to negotiate and get access to the best conditions in the market getting competitive offers to clients.

Since 2008, Vega is certified by the Quality Integrated System - ISO 9001. With this certification we assume additional responsibility and commitment towards our clients and staff, ensuring that the Company priority is to provide quality services and reliability.

With more than 30 years of experience, Vega is proud of having conquered national and international prestige towards clients and business partners, reflecting its mission of providing services in the tourism area, sustained by strong team spirit with dedication and economic, social and environmental sense.

Business Areas

Vega has two different business areas:

OUTGOING Department with 2 different business segments:

  • LEISURE – travel organisation “à la carte”, adapting our suggestions to the wishes of our demanding and sophisticated individual clients, and groups, with exclusive and theme voyages.
  • CORPORATE – individual business travel organisation, meetings, congresses and companies’ incentives.

DMC (Destination Management Company):

  • Specialized in the organization of events, incentives, conferences and product launches for several international clients where our services are promoted such as United Kingdom, Benelux, Scandinavia, USA, South Africa and Taiwan, amongst others.

 

Mission

Our mission is to arrange and provide tourism, travel and accommodation services, congresses, incentives and events. We want to be a prestigious Tourism Company, recognized in Portugal and abroad. Thus, at VEGA, we assume a policy of continuous improvement of the Integrated Quality Management System, reflected in the following commitments:

  • To obtain a high degree of customer satisfaction, through the provision of personalized services tailored to their needs and expectations;
  • To develop a profitable and sustainable business, through a permanent control of the results;
  • To promote compliance with legal, regulatory and other subscribed requirements, as well as the permanent and unquestionable practice of a professional, commercial and behavioral code of ethics;
  • To have motivated employees with competence appropriate to the function, through their permanent training and information;
  • To establish a good relationship and communication with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders in mutual benefit.

In the scope of Employee Social, Environmental and Health Responsibility, VEGA is concerned with:

  • Maintaining a receptive attitude towards associations and social intervention entities, whenever they request support, analyzing the best form of collaboration according to the available resources;
  • Respecting the environment, ensuring good environmental practices, through recycling, reuse and awareness for saving water and energy;
  • Promoting the participation and involvement of employees in achieving safety and health conditions at work by raising awareness to develop a preventive attitude.

We are ISO 9001: 2015 certified and we were distinguished as PME Líder 2019.

We are also active members of the following associations: IATA (International Air Transport Association); APAVT (Portuguese Association of Travel and Tourism Agencies); ATL (Lisbon Tourism Association); SITE (Society of Incentive & Travel Executives); Estoril and Sintra Convention Bureau; Go4travel.
